London Evening – 01

A couple of days before the New Year Daphne and I went for one of our favourite walks – along the South Bank of the River Thames, between St Pauls Cathedral and Embankment Station. These are some of the images I caught along the way.

All taken on the Olympus EM-1 Mk II ( I hear there’s a new one coming out later this month. Oh dear!! ) … and a 12-100mm f4 Pro Lens, handheld. ( Yes, I know!! )

Taken at Hurley Weir on the River Thames. The 1/10 of a second exposure in the first image accentuates the movement of the kayak through the water. In reality these kayakers are paddling against the water as it pours through the gates on the weir. So it is the water that is moving – and they remain almost stationary in the viewfinder, making them so much easier to catch!!
