Stanage Edge and the Mill Stones

We visited Stanage Edge in the Peak District – an old quarry, apparently,  now littered with discarded mill stones – someone’s intense labour just abandoned on the side of the fell. We never did find out why!

A lovely, remote spot – not to be missed if you are ever that way.
