With some ‘photography’ friends, we spent the morning roaming parts of Epping Forest.
Against the odds the sun shone for a couple of hours before deserting us – but the morning was rewarded with the discovery of some amazing fungi!
… and, of course, some amazing Autumn colours!
More from our Balloon flight near Colchester…..
Yesterday we made an early morning trip to Richmond Park to see the deer.
Fallow Deer, Richmond Park
And we were not disappointed. It was a beautiful morning ( apart from the traffic! ), and the deer were about in large numbers!
Last Friday we had a balloon trip from near to Colchester in Essex for 11 miles south-east towards Chelmsford.
We had a perfect afternoon – lovely skies, and a few fluffy clouds just to add photographic interest.
This shot was taken just before we lifted off – with the Virgin balloon having left several minutes previously.
Not surprisingly, we followed on along the same track and then landed minutes apart in neighbouring fields.
Comment of the afternoon, from one of our companion travellers – “Why don’t they just fly it around in a big circle and take us back to where we parked our cars?”
They clearly understood exactly what they were experiencing!
Visited Broadstairs in Kent today.
We caught the high tide coupled with a strong on-shore wind, causing some dramatic seas!!
Taken at the Holyhead Country Park on Anglesey. It looks like he ( or she ) has been through the wars with bits missing from its wings, but it still seemed to be flying around with little trouble.
It even stopped for long enough for me to take this image.
